Sunscreen Reaction

For the past couple of years I have had reactions to sunscreen. I have use several different kids, including Neutrogena and Banana Boat. I like the sprays because they are so quick and easy, but they tend to be the most sure to produce a reaction...at least the first time they are used.

I have to admit, I continued to use some of them even after having a reaction. I figured a bad sunburn would be even worse.

My reaction consisted of a bumpy rash all over my arms. My right arm was worse than my left. Only once did it cover more area. The rash would last about five days, start to peel, and be cleared in about 10 days.

Now I'm wondering if these reactions could be connected to my perioral dermatitis. I'm going to look for SPF that is a physical blocker and doesn't contain anything on my no-no list (like formaldehyde).

There are a lot of formaldehyde free products listed on this site. I will have to take a closer look, but something tells me they aren't physical blocks. Hope I'm wrong...
