Well, I've continued with warm water for washing. I still use the coconut oil. Still use the plain lip balm. I don't really think my rash is getting any better. I am considering discontinuing the coconut oil. That would be so hard, though. Plus, I just can't see how to stop the lip balm (it contains CO). Maybe I'm a lip balm addict. :D
I washed my hair using natural glycerin soap! I was a little scared, but my hair actually looks fabulous. I used conditioner, too. I'm looking for a natural moisturizing shampoo bar. My hair is 19 inches long. :)
The difficult thing for me in getting rid of all the SLS laden products is that I am an in home health aid (CNA) and assist others in the shower. I use their products on their hair and body which means I am getting SLS on my hands every other day. Hmmm. Not sure what to do about that.
Did some yoga this morning. Not much, just enough to stretch and breath.
Today I put some Grapefruit Seed Extract (diluted in water) on the rashy area. I read that it has worked for some people. So...5 drops of GSE in a tablespoon of distilled water. Shake it up. Apply to site.
It's super super itchy after applying! Oh yikes! I didn't put any CO on after the GSE solution. My skin doesn't feel dry or tight. This might be a good sign!
And for fun, I am applying this solution to my toes. I have had something wrong with my toes for years. I was diagnosed with Chilblains, but I really am not sure if that is the problem. Anyway, I figure it can't hurt.
We'll see. I'm also thinking about adding zinc to my vitamin routine. Oddly, it is not present in the probiotic I am taking which also contains a multi-vitamin. Here is an article on zinc deficiency. Notice that skin issues in one of the symptoms.
I'm going to stop using facial tissue on my face. Just hankies. I read that facial tissue contains formaldehyde, so no more of that.
Trying really hard to keep from touching my face. When it itches...I want to touch. I'm actually applying light pressure with a velour cloth when it gets really bad.
